Kyatanamakki Hill Trek

Image
Date: 31 December 2022 Mode: Private Vehicle  Post Covid-19 I took biking as a hobby and started bike rides near by places around Bengaluru and I liked taking up solo adventure rides as I liked exploring new places other than the ride as well. Have trekked few nearby trekking spot on a solo expedition around Bengaluru like Savanadurga, Hutridurga, Antaragange, Kailasagiri.. Etc. I wanted to explore more starting from Western Ghats for trekking & was looking a way out to start the process as these treks needs a support system which can guide you to complete them. My cousin had been to one such organized trek to Kedarnath with Mad Adventures team earlier, so she told me I can join such team for organized treks. And there it was year 2022 was ending, I didn't had any crazy plans to do and in the insta feed I saw Mad Adventures had a upcoming trekking event for the new year trip so I just went ahead and booked a slot for Kyatanamakki Trek. This is my first group trekking experience...

Image
Date: 30 October 2022 Mode: Mahindra Mojo Bengaluru-Chennai Road is biker heaven if you love cruising at a steady speed all credits to the smooth tarmac. Many Bikers & Cyclist come here over weekends to explore the stretch for a breakfast ride. I was riding with Bangalore Bikers today which is a biking community with like minded riders which organizes many rides and today they happen to be organize welcome ride for new bikers in the community for the month of October 2022. The destination we are going today is Shoolagiri Dam located just few kilometers away from Shoolagiri village. The Plan Well its a organized ride from Bangalore Bikers and special thanks N I John from BB for organizing this ride, I have been with BB on their Independence Ride 2022 that ride too was well organized, kudos to John for making sure everything goes well in the ride. So the plan was to meet at Attibele Toll after Electronic City where around 50+ riders got together and split...

Nallur Heritage Tamarind Grove - Devanahalli Fort

Image
Date: 23 January 2022 Mode: Mahindra Mojo Within few kilometers from the busy Bengaluru city life there are few small villages with some heritage associated with them, one such village is Nallur Village. This day I was just planning to head out for a drive and marked these two places for the ride The Plan Nallur Heritage Tamarind Grove is located towards Devanahalli road if you start your journey from far east part of Bengaluru. I started not so early as the place was within 40 kms from my place with no major traffic bottleneck in between. The roads to here again as most of the Bengaluru road is under construction for most of it stretch, so you can't cruse in three digit speed on them The Outline  The place is also called as devarakadu( gods forest) in Kannada and holds around 300 Tamarind trees spread across 50 acres of land, few of these trees are said to be 500 years old. Right on the road side you can find such old Tamarind tree which is split into two branches due to lightning...

Mysuru - Srirangapatna - Mysuru

Image
Date: 3 February 2022  Mode: Honda Jazz This trip was a impromptu decision due to some unavoidable situations during those times. We decided to spend few days in Mysuru at our close relative place and thanks to covid work from home flexibility you can literally work from any part of world with good Internet connection.  The Plan  Started somewhere around 6:30pm in the evening, in peak traffic made a terrible mistake of missing KR market flyover which connects Mysuru road, had to take a detour & finally merge into Mysore Road at the end. The Bengaluru-Mysuru Road is under construction as I write this blog with most of the stretch converted to 6 lane road, so night drive is little risky at you would suddenly encounter deviations & turn on the way passing through the city. Finally around 10:30pm I had reached Mysuru passing all the hurdles and one break in between. The Outline  I had been to Mysuru several times and had seen the usual iconic places like Pal...
